Washington Oxi Day Foundation Honors Defenders of Freedom and Democracy on Veteran’s Day

WASHINGTON, DC –  This Veteran’s Day, the Washington Oxi Day Foundation celebrates the extraordinary sacrifice and brave actions of countless Greek, Greek-American and American soldiers who have risked their lives and sometimes died defending their countries, the freedom of their fellow citizens and democracy for the world.

This includes those veteran’s who fought to defend freedom and democracy in World War II including the below recipients of the Washington Oxi Day Foundation’s Greatest Generation Awards, annually honoring a Greek, Greek-American and American veteran who served valiantly in World War II.
